Atlantic Lady is One of the jewels of the Moncada Hispania charter fleet, an elegant displacement yacht that when is not cruising the Mediterranean lies at its mooring in Palma de Mallorca.
With a length of 25,50 meters and a beam of 6,12 meters, Atlantic Lady leaves no one indifferent. Although it is not for its size, which is not extraordinary compared with other mega yachts in the international charter fleet, but for its classic and seaworthy profile that contrasts with the impersonal profile of many modern vessels. Designed by Nick Myers and built in steel by the Geta Corporation shipyard in December 1990, Atlantic Lady has gone through a long refit period, to cross the Mediterranean once again radiating elegance and seaman charm. Her homeport is in Palma de Mallorca, headquarters of Moncada Hispania offices, but the yacht can move, if required by the customer, anywhere in the Mediterranean. Those travelling to Palma de Mallorca must know that the mooring is only 15 minutes away from the airport. The charter company also offers a VIP airport service, both for customers who arrive on commercial flights as well as on private jets, with restricted access waiting rooms and limousine transfer.
In addition to charters, Atlantic Lady can be hired to organise events and corporate meetings of all type, because when the yacht is moored there are no restrictions to the number of guests on board.
In recent times, royalty, actors, musicians and financiers have walked on the decks of Atlantic Lady. The owner of the yacht said in a supplement to the Financial Times that the celebrities spend their holidays in the Mediterranean on board of Atlantic Lady because they are treated with complete confidentiality and discretion, as they put in and anchor in beaches and bays where the press does not reach.During the crossing the guests will be attended at all times by an experienced crew of three (four if required), with Captain Tim Harris, Yachtmaster and RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Royal Yachting Association), as the master. One of Atlantic Lady appeals is the Chef extraordinary gourmet food offer, including Spanish, French and Italian specialities.
Under the Mediterranean sun
The classic lines of Atlantic Lady hide the highest quality standards in terms of equipment and accommodation, as well as the most advanced technical specifications. The yacht reaches an average cruising speed of 10 knots and consumes about 80 litters of fuel per hour, a significantly low figure that reduces the adverse effects on the environment.
Atlantic Lady is designed to enjoy the sunshine and the outdoors, as revealed by the large teak decks on the bow and astern. The fly bridge deck, equipped with refrigerator, ice maker, barbecue and deck chairs, is one of the guests’ favourite places for its nice living area protected by a bimini. On the bow there is a fully padded area which allows sunbathing comfortably. Several steps communicate the different decks as well as giving access to the interiors.
The saloon incorporates a bar, several sofas and leather chairs and is equipped with radio / CD Hi-Fi, - that can be connected with the owner’s cabin and the decks -, widescreen TV, DVD, books and board games. Next to the main saloon, but in a separate room, there is the dining room with a large wooden table for more than eight people. From the living room some stairs lead down to the owner’s cabin.
The yacht’s four double cabins, all with air conditioned, are equipped to accommodate up to eight guests: owner’s cabin, two double cabins,- all three with en suite bathroom that also includes a shower, bathtub and a separate toilet - and a cabin with bunk beds that has an adjacent bathroom. The owner’s cabin is equipped with a widescreen TV, DVD, radio / CD and dressing room. Among the water toys stands out a Zodiac with a Yamaha 40 Hp outboard engine for doughnutting, water skis and wakeboarding, a Sea Doo 3d jet ski, a wet bike, two kayaks and snorkel equipment. The price for a week’s charter is from 29.500 euros during the high season and 27.000 euros during the low season. <<
