The charter company Odisea adds to their fleet an Azimut 68 (2007), 68 feet in length and powered by two 1,360 horsepower engines, for chartering from the Mediterraneans most exclusive destinations.

One of the main attractions of this motor yacht is the top speed of 37 knots that her two powerful 1,360 hp engines are capable of producing, a factor of some interest when it comes to mapping out your voyage as distances are shor tened and the freedom to improvise is multiplied. Undoubtedly the other factor is her design, both exterior and interior. The multifunctional spaces on her diaphanous and extensive hard top respond to a particular conception of naval architecture that is based on criteria that are both aesthetic and functional. Not in vane her 68 feet in length and 17-foot beam have been taken full advantage of to conceive of two stylised sundeck areas. The main deck also undergoes a most extraordinary metamorphosis thanks to the immense, adjustable hard-top. The interior has been designed to cater for a total of six guests, congenially and in comfort, or up to ten for a day’s sailing, plus the skipper and a crew of one. This model, equipped with air conditioning and central heating, includes a bow cabin, a cabin with two single berths and a VIP cabin. The guests who stay in the latter space can enjoy a studio with exceptional sea views, due to the extensive windows in the hull, and with a raised living area that includes a table and chairs. Opposite the bed there is a plasma screen like the one in the main salon. All three cabins have their own heads. The crew’s cabin is located at the stern. Onboard equipment includes no less than three plasma television sets, twp DVD players, a hi-fi, Internet and a deck barbeque; there is also a semirigid Zodiac with a 105 hp outboard, a range of scuba diving equipment and a submergible hydraulic bathing platform. All that is left to add is that the engine room, completely soundproofed, counts on the most advanced safety measures.

A WEEK IN CORSICA
In the port of the capital of Corsica, Ajaccio, ItacaOctau will be moored and waiting. Following a visitto the legendary city, birthplace of Napoleon, shewill set sail for the Sanguinaires Islands and theirmythical lighthouse, until you reach the Escandola National Park. From there you sail for four days beneath the cliffs of pink granite, visiting the area’s picturesque por ts, such as Girolata, which can only be reached by boat. The next destination is Calvi, a pretty walled por t with a wide rage of restaurants and shops. Calvi The following day you get to see the Agriates Desert, an area of vast beaches, crystal-clear waters and endless dunes. You spend the night at Saint Florent before heading up the coast to Cape Bastia, passing through the port of Centuri, Mazinggio and Por ticiolo. Reaching the town of Bastia marks the start of the homeward leg of your voyage, back along the right side of the island, stopping over in beautiful coves and paying a visit to Porto Vechio, one of the Mediterranean’s most luxurious por ts. You will also have plenty of time to call in on Bonifacio, with its impressive white cliffs and then, crossing the straits of Bonifacio, you must set sail once more for Ajaccio.
