Revitalised tradition

Benetti Tradition 105On a hull nearing thirty-two metres, Italian shipyard Benetti delivers a yacht with a timeless exterior appearance but with interiors totally customised to the owner’s demands.

The Tradition 105’ is the second model in the new Benetti Class range unveiled in 2010, which in all features seven semi-custom yachts between 93 and 164 feet. Besides the Tradition 105’ and the Delfino 93’, both premièred at last year’s Cannes Yacht Show, the range includes the Classic 121’, the Classic Supreme 132’, the Crystal 140’, the Vision 145’ and the Vision Supreme 164’. All of them feature exterior design by Stefano Righini, whilst interiors were styled by Carlo Galeazzi in some cases and François Zuretti in others. The interiors of the 105 particularly stand out for their modernity and the radical change made by Zuretti with regard to some of his other more classic designs.
All yachts in the range will be built from fibreglass-reinforced polyester, with brand new hull designs and a bulbous bow. Safety also deserves a special mention, as the compartmentation with watertight bulkheads is similar to that of an ocean-going yacht and is able to guarantee navigability of the vessel at all times even with a damaged hull. What’s more, the extreme attention to construction quality translates into a significant reduction in noise and vibration.
