70 meters of exclusivity
The third yacht produced by Lürssen with common engineering stands out for the spectacular open spaces on its decks and a very rich decoration. It is offered for charter and it is one of the best options on the upper end of that activity.
The term hat-trick in the Anglo-Saxon world refers to the achievement of a triplet, or three achievements of similar characteristics, which conform an even more spectacular achievement. That is what the German shipyard Lürssen did in 2006, 2007 and 2008 with its 70 meters platform, by launching Apoise first, Saint Nicolas after and finally Martha Ann whose modern lines and voluminous hull give a yacht of extraordinary comfort and that is more than outstanding.
The seaworthy shapes and the powerful beam, with a full body from the bridge, created by the yard’s naval architecture department are complemented by a graceful silhouette created by the designer Espen Oeino, based in the South of France and creator of some of the best large yachts launched in recent years. The design incorporates the latest trends in terms of superstructure volumes, with high density visors and voluptuous radiuses, complemented with exaggerated wings that grant to the terraced decks a certain harmony that does not lack of a certain femininity, but maintaining the solidity expected on a large sized boat. The three dark stripes that form the hollow space of the upper decks are well integrated into the decreasing volume created both for the poop decks as for the bow visors. On those last ones there are three levels of panoramic vertical windows, that are very practical for the interior vision and comfort, that do not mar the finishes. The choice of the dark colour on the hull also allows the use of many port holes, very large those that are around the owner’s cabin in the area of maximum beam, their effect not breaking the silhouette. Martha Ann has a total of six decks counting the two lower ones, and with its living spaces is an excellent yacht for social events and for public relations.
