Always up-to date

The Maiora 27 is a model that is being manufactured for several years now, but the shipyard’s ability for adaptation has allowed it to have a perennial up-to date look. This has been possible by small cosmetic changes on the outside and, above all, the ability to arrange and to decorate the comfortable interiors to the owner’s tastes. The unit that we portray in this article is a good example of this. 

The Maiora 27 is a classic for the Italian company Fipa Yachts, builders of the makes Maiora, AB Yachts and CBI Navi. Maiora is a well established make in the construction of motor yachts with planing hulls built in fibreglass, but they also build steel boats of up to 43 meters length. CBI also builds steel hull and aluminium superstructure, but in this case up to 65 meters length, whereas AB Yachts specialises in building high speed sedan models, with hulls made in sophisticated oil by-products and water jet propulsion. This allows to the make to have a considerable range of technological knowledge.
A common approach to the whole Maiora range is the adaptation to the client’s tastes, as except for the outer lines, everything else can be modified. Once the client has chosen the number of cabins and the performance, the engines power is chosen, their position is fixed and from there comes the size of the engine room, so that the number and the position of the cabins and the bathrooms is free, as in this case. The owner can set on the contract a maximum noise level on board, so that the shipyard uses various materials such as insulation cork, high density rubber or lead sheet, to achieve the required comfort and the thermal and acoustic insulation. The yard always proposes the use of furniture and equipment designed and manufactured in Italy, with the aim that the resulting whole will have a distinctly “made in Italy” character, but the final selection it up the owner. This means that the shipyard always works upon request, there are no new units in stock.
