The Sanlorenzo 82 is a reference model for this Italian make. It was the first one offering the new design style that, in a very short time, has renewed all the range of this historical Italian shipyard.

Sanlorenzo is one of the benchmarks for large yachts in the international arena, thanks to the respect and consideration shown to the yachting heritage that they have given to their models and also thanks to a craftsmanship made with great care, all being translated into an excellent result.
The shipyard is about to celebrate its fifty anniversary, as Giovanni Iannetti founded it in Viareggio in 1.958, directly dedicated to the construction of leisure boats. At that time the material used was wood, that is nothing strange, because it was the mostly used material by all the shipyards, but the peculiarity being that all Sanlorenzo were built in wood up to 1.985, which means a handmade work and a maximum adaptation capacity to the desires of the owners. The first fibre yacht was the SL 57, launched in September of 1.985. In 1.999 the company moved to new facilities in Ameglia, in a nature reserve. That was possible because Sanlorenzo has a UNI EN ISO 14001 certificate that guarantees the maximum respect to the environment. In April of 2.005 a change in the ownership of the company took place, with the entrance of Massimo Perotti, ex general manager of Azimut. From this moment Sanlorenzo takes a new course, beginning the aesthetic renovation of all its range, but without altering the traditional philosophy of the make, based in offering the maximum quality on the completely custom completed works, and in a limited number of produced units.
Nowadays the company has two shipyards. At the Ameglia facilities fibreglass planning hulls yachts are manufactured, with a total of six models: the SL62, SL72, SL82, SL88, SL100 and the SL108. The total production during 2.006 was of 24 units. On the other hand, the new facilities at the Polo Nautico in Viareggio allow several production lines. In the first place the construction of fibre semi displacement yachts, specifically four units per year of the SD 92 model and up to two per year of the SD 122 model, whose first unit has its launching date foreseen in May next year. The 42 and 38 meters aluminium yachts are also built here, and its first unit will be launched this year, and for the immediate future it is foreseen the construction of steel hull and aluminium superstructure yachts of 43 and 50 meters.

AT THE HEART OF THE RANGE
To launch the total renovation of the range, Sanlorenzo chose the SL82 that, with a length just below 24 meters, is on a very competitive market segment where there is a great demand. This renovation has introduced more modern outer outlines, but respecting stylistic canons that have allowed to differentiate the interiors of their yachts, characterized by an everlasting elegance. On the SL82 this has been achieved without varying the inner layout, but extending and enlarging the superstructure, which has resulted in a better use of the main deck and the fly bridge.
The new Sanlorenzo 82 offers four double cabins, all of them with a complete equipped bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bidet and shower, although the distribution is a little unusual, because two of the cabins are forward, equipped with two single beds, whereas the VIP cabin occupies a central position on starboard, with a large double bed; the owner’s cabin is more astern, arranged at full beam and including in it a small studio, a dressing room and a large bathroom, these last elements being between the cabin and the engine room. This distribution is possible because the staircase that communicates with the main deck does not descend from the bow, but from the lobby anticipated on por t, where we also find the inner staircase to access the fly bridge. The usual distribution of the main deck places the saloon astern, well separated from the dining room, with the galley completely independent and having a direct access for the service from the starboard lateral walkway; so that the steering position is well separated and can lodge a small living area forward. On the fly bridge the living area is made of a large C shaped sofa surrounding an outdoors dinning table, all of it placed astern, to separate the areas of greater use from the stowed tender astern. The solarium and the service furniture occupy a central position, behind a completely equipped steering position. It is also possible to sunbathe on the foredeck, where a large solarium behind the access to the crew cabin has been placed. The aft deck also offers a comfortable space to have supper al fresco in addition to an excellent communication with the bathing platform by means of two symmetrical stairs on the quarters. For the inner decoration, always in handcrafted wood according to the indications of the owner, it allows personalizing each unit, and therefore noble woods and other carefully selected first quality materials are used. The Sanlorenzo 82 is driven by two 1.675 Hp CAT C32 engines and has V drive transmission, because the engines are placed astern. The maximum speed is of 31 at 2.300 rpm and the cruising speed of 27 knots at 2.100 rpm.
