The extensive rugged coast of Corsica conceals a green island with almost virginal anchoring spots. This summer, Seven Sins could be one of the megayachts to exhibit its profile in one of the yacht harbours of this Island in the Mediterranean Sea; it is no wonder that the Greeks baptized it as Kallisté, the most beautiful.

Famous for its thousand kilometre coast, with approximately 300 km of fine sand, Corsica is a destination that yachtsmen and scuba divers dream about. Nevertheless, the island has not suffered the same level of tourist development as other areas of the Mediterranean and is still relatively virgin. The variety of landscapes of its rich coast, with its pebbled coves, gulfs of fine sand, and steep cliffs also offers small anchoring spots to seek shelter from the terrible Mistral winds. The Calvi por t, with walls of the ancient for tress which extend into the sea and its immense bay is perfect for one’s first encounter with the island. From here, we highly recommend a visit to the Health Resort centre of Ille Rousse, a good base port to explore the villages of Montegrosso: Lunghignano, Cassano, and Montemaggiore, as well as the Ostriconi valley. When navigating through the Gulf of Por to, declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO, it reveals a rugged coastline of red granite cliffs which descend into the intense blue sea. Towards the north, we arrive to the Girolata peninsula, which can only be accessed by sea or on foot, which highlights a volcanic terrain whose steep rock slides descend towards the sea. To the nor th of this spot, the terrestrial and marine nature reserve of Scandola was created. From Porto heading south, we find Piana, whose granite formations are dotted with natural cavities which were inhabited in prehistoric times. And fur ther south, Cargèse, a city that is well known for its Greek colony in 1676, which opens the path to the Gulf of Sagone as well as the forests of the Regional Natural Park. While the Gulf of Ajaccio is famous as one of the most beautiful spots in the Mediterranean, Capo di Feno, the Parata point, as well as the Sanguinaires and Porticcio islands are privileged locations with wild scenery full of coves and fine sandy beaches. Inland, the impressive waterfall of Voile de la Mariée is a hidden treasure, with a height of over 70 metres. From the protected zone of Roccapina and its sandy beach until the charming fishing port of Porto Pollo, there are numerous spots to weigh anchor in its coves. Don’t miss Sartène, known as “the most Corsican of the Corsican cities”, as a preliminary step before the Gulf of Pinarellu enclave and the Fortress city of Bonifacio; from here, we proceed to Toscaza, a secure port with easy access, and to the labyrinth of small Lavezzi islands, protected as an international marine park by law since 1982.

A DREAM WITH THREE DECKS
This luxur y yacht with its 41.30-metre length was launched in April 2005 by the shipbuilders of Heesen Yachts. Built in accordance with the ABS MCA quality standards, Seven Sins offers optimum comfort, major indoor volume, and a variety
of on-deck spaces. Omega Architects have created its interior designs with cherry wood panels and teak and ebony parquet floors. Included among its luxurious features, we highlight five spacious cabins, ample sundecks, a spa pool, sauna, which is fully equipped for leisure. The pilot’s chair is equally surprising with three seats which allow three guests to enjoy a unique perspective during navigation. The stern deck is equipped with numerous meeting zones equipped with comfortable seats and tables.
The main salon has a bar and living room with a 50-inch plasma TV. Located in the same room and surrounded by ten large windows, the dining room can easily accommodate 10 guests around its large oval table. The stateroom on the upper deck has an Asian ambience and is commonly used to enjoy cinema, since it is equipped with a 60-inch screen. The luminous circular cabin of the ship owner, decorated in beige, maple, and brown tones, includes an office with Internet and printer, a dressing room, a bathroom with Jacuzzi, a marble shower, and individual toilets. The two VIP cabins are equipped with their own shower and bath, Jacuzzi, king size bed, and audio video system. The two double cabins are equipped with shower and toilet. The guests will love the first-class international cuisine, with exquisite Japanese, Thai, French, and Italian dishes. The Chef, Sandra Mastrantone, is responsible for the design of the onboard menu; she was the winner of the Antigua Yacht Show Competition in 2003. In command of the nine member international crew, the South African, Captain Louis Coetze, aged 36, has an extensive professional career in luxury charter yachts since 1998.
The onboard equipment includes a 5.6 metre Castoldi Jet tender with a 125 hp diesel motor, two 110 hp SeeDoo jet skis, a Jobe wakeboard, and two pairs of water skis. It also comes with ten full sets of snorkelling equipment, two snorkelling sets for children, a donut-shaped float, a banana, beach games, two inflatable canoes for two persons, as well as fishing and scuba diving equipment.

A LOVELY DAY OF GOLF
The Gulf of Sperone is located in an exceptional landscape just six kilometres from Bonifacio. In front of the archipelago of the Lavezzi and Sardinia islands, this 18-hole golf course, individual houses, and the Piantarelli country house are distributed throughout 135 hectares of mountainsides, cliffs, and beaches. Designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1990, Sperone is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful golf courses. Due to its route between narrow fairways, which are quite near to the cliffs and sea and its small putting greens exposed to the wind, this golf course requires a skilful strategy.
During its four years of existence, Sperone has become an essential location for professional golfers. And for golf amateurs as well, since the other challenge is to discover Laurent Goepfert’s delicious cuisine in the Club House’s restaurant.
