The Predator 62 is Sunseeker’s most compact model and it fits perfectly in the sedan typology. On a very sporty aesthetic, the yacht has a closed superstructure that allows locating the saloon on the main deck, with a perfect relation with the cockpit and the opening roof.

The Predator 62 is the second smaller model of this range, just over the Predator 55, and the first one of the make in its size that offers the sedan typology and not only the hard ceiling on a part of the main deck. Upon this difference lies one of the basic characteristics of this model. Therefore the owner of this 62 has a large living space on the main deck, with great views to the sea, but it also has a living area on the lower deck, being able to use both as a dining room, without forgetting that also on the aft deck there are facilities to eat outdoors. To cater for all these possibilities the yacht has two galleys, the main one, below, and another one at service level on the cockpit.
The size of the yacht also allows having considerable outer spaces. A large solarium occupies a part of the fore deck, whereas the cockpit has an L shaped sofa oriented towards starboard, surrounded by a table with folding wings in front of which the already mentioned service cabinet has been placed. In addition, the aft part of this sofa transforms into a solarium, for which a fixed section that is behind the backrest is advantageously used. Underneath a single cabin for the crew has been anticipated and all this area can be protected from the sun thanks to an awning folding automatically and that is hidden in the aft part of the superstructure. The bathing platform is very ample and its height is regulated hydraulically until getting submerged, easing the launching of the tender and it is also useful when it is time for swimming. If the swim happens at night, in addition submerged lights can be installed as an option. The standard hydraulic gangway is hidden underneath the starboard steps.

INTERIORS ON TWO DECKS
The main deck is occupied by a large saloon and the steering position, all with an important presence of wood. The saloon has a large C shaped sofa that surrounds a table of adjustable height, the whole placed by a series of aligned pieces of furniture on the port side, that includes a sideboard for the glassware, the audio-visual equipment, an armchair and several closets. The steering position is on starboard, equipped with an adjustable individual Besenzoni chair, and a two seats sofa for the companions, with a storage locker on the lower par t. The console has great standard equipment and a good supply of options for the owner to choose from. The forward section of the roof can be opened at will, but even though when it is closed three large skylights have been designed for natural illumination. The lower deck has three cabins; two of them equipped with double bed and a third one with superposed bunks, in addition to two complete bathrooms. The owner’s cabin is amidships and occupies the full beam and gets natural illumination form the three large vertical windows on the hull. The forward cabin, equipped with double bed, also has direct access to the second bathroom, but it can also be accessed from the main space, occupied by the galley and the dining room, arranged diagonally.
All the cabins have 15 inches flat television screens that on the saloon is of 26 inches. The dining room, forward and starboard, has a C shaped sofa surrounding a table of adjustable height, whereas the galley has a large work surface, sink, three burners vitroceramic cook top, smoke extractor, an enormous stowage capacity and a fridge with freezer located astern, that is so high that it also acts as a separator from the main deck. Cutlery, crockery and glassware for six people are standard.

GOOD STEERING
The Predator 62 is driven with two diesel engines with powers that range from two 865 Hp CAT engines and the two 1.200 Hp MAN. The tested unit mounted two 1.100 Hp MAN and V drive transmission, allowing to place the engines very much astern and to free inhabitable space. This propulsive equipment seemed more than enough, because on the day of the sea trial, made with a strong wind that built up a swell, we reached a maximum speed of 32,8 knots at 3.370 revolutions, but using no flaps. In these same conditions we can consider that the cruising speed was of 27,5 knots at 2.000 revolutions. The range at maximum speed is around 230 miles, but at 2.000 revolutions it goes up to 290 miles. The hull has tunnels astern for the propellers, a very deep V shaped bow, two longitudinal steps on each side and also a very pronounced edge that acts as a sustentation skid. The yacht is manoeuvred with great facility, with an immediate response to the rudder, and a great acceleration capacity, so that only 10 seconds are enough to reach the planning speed.
