Engineers from Dutch shipyard Heesen and designers from the Frank Laupman and Mojo Stumer architect studios joined forces to create a unique masterpiece, based around optimum-level design and cutting-edge technology. The end result is called Sky.
Built on the experience of launching seventeen 44-47 metre custom yachts, the hull of this new 50 metre With a Gross Tonnage of 499 GT and a top speed of 24 knots is the most efficient on the market. In consultation with Van Oossanen Associates, Heesen’s in-house naval architects created a sophisticated and highly efficient hard-chine hull. When combined with Heesen’s acknowledged weight reduction expertise and a pair of high power-to-weight ratio MTU 2.720kW engines, Satori delivers her stunning top speed as well as a very economical fuel burn, giving a particularly long range of 3.200 NM at 12 knots.
The sporty appearance of this Heesen is no letdown. Twin 3,700hp MTU engines power her to a top speed of 25 knots, no mean feat for a 44-metre superyacht. Her layout offers an array of living and relaxation spaces for guests to enjoy together or individually. 
Quinta Essentia, launched at the shipyard in Oss, The Netherlands, on 11th March 2011, is the first yacht in the 55 metre semi-displacement series produced by Heesen. Project managed by Nakhimov, Quinta Essentia is powered by a pair of 4.300 kW, MTU 20V 4000 M93L diesel engines, and will reach a notable top speed of 24 knots. In consultation with Van Oossanen Associates, Heesen’s in-house naval architects have created a sophisticated and highly efficient hard-chine hull, while Frank Laupman from Omega Architects drew the exterior lines. 
The owner of this super yacht was inspired by a romantic movie set in the Eastern Coast of the United States for the design of its interiors. Dutch technology, British design for the interiors and Russian project management are aspects that show the globalisation of the large yachts market.
Heesen Yachts is proud to announce the delivery of MY Willpower, ninth in the 3700 series, whose forbear was delivered in 2004. The tenth yacht in the 3700 series, is due for delivery in the summer of 2011.
